In 2024, the embrace of the new year enveloped everyone, and the students of Shishi Beihu AP thrived in the first week.

Facing upcoming final exams and standardized tests, classmates not only devoted themselves but also actively participated in the school's comprehensive activities.

We went together to a dry ski resort, learning skiing skills, and hearing the winter wind whistling past our ears; Livia successfully advanced in HOSA Basic Chemistry West China Reginal Competition; the first-year students smoothly advanced in the NEC Economics Challenge, standing out among over five hundred schools nationwide; Shishi Flea Market opened, with 65 "shops" gathering at Beihu, creating a lively atmosphere.

SKT-HOSA

Congratulations to Livia, a student from Shishi Beihu AP, on successfully advancing in the HOSA Basic Chemistry West China Regional Competition! She will participate in the national competition held in Qingdao!

The HOSA Biomedical Debate is a highly prestigious academic competition in the field of biomedical health, certified by the U.S. Department of Education and renowned as the "cradle of elite leaders in the U.S. health industry." It has impacted over 3 million students to date.

The ATC Basic Academic Activities aim to help students explore subject interests, strengthen foundational knowledge, integrate various curriculum systems, and comprehensively improve biological and comparative academic performance within the school.

According to official statistics, over 250,000 students worldwide participate in HOSA each year, with an advancement rate of only about 4%. It can be considered a highly esteemed academic competition. Congratulations to Livia!

National Economics Challenge

The NEC National Economics Challenge is a renowned and influential economics competition for middle and high school students in the United States, organized by the Council for Economic Education. With a history of 20 years, it attracts over ten thousand economics students each year.

In this intense competition among over five hundred schools nationwide, the Shishi Beihu AP students excelled, smoothly advancing to the 2024 NEC China Summit.

SKATING EXERCISE TRAINING

Last week, Shishi Beihu AP students visited a dry ski resort. With guidance from coaches and after a beginner assessment, everyone completed the outdoor skiing training course.

The core of comprehensive education is the students. Despite the disciplined daily studies, we hope each student can explore more "stress-relief" methods, continuing the spirit of great achievements through aerobic exercise, outdoor activities, artistic education, etc., and in the process, discover and understand themselves.

Skiing originated in Norway and has gradually gained popularity in China this year. Chengdu, as a plain city, doesn't have many professional-level ski training grounds. However, the students visited a ski resort where Su Yiming once trained, receiving coaching and technical support from an Olympic champion coach. The students also experienced a competition-level training course.

Shishi Flea Market

The 13th Shishi High School Flea Market was  opening!

65 "vendors" gathered at Shishi Beihu and international department students displayed their talents. There were creatively interesting stalls, including hand-painted watercolor dessert stalls and creatively themed booths. Elements like traditional culture, anime, food, dance, and more converged, turning the campus into an art exhibition, and transforming Shishi into a creative market.
